Third Year

Third-year students rotate through core clinical clerkships, including ambulatory care.

Required clerkships

  • Medicine (12 weeks)
  • Neurology (4 weeks)
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (6 weeks)
  • Pediatrics (6 weeks)
  • The Practice of Medicine III
  • Psychiatry (4 weeks)
  • Surgery (12 weeks)

Final examinations for clinical clerkships are administered at the end of each clerkship.  Please visit the Registrar’s website for a tentative schedule.

  • Ambulatory: Emergency Medicine (4 weeks)
  • Ambulatory: Family Medicine (4 weeks)
  • Ambulatory: Psychiatry for Generalists (4 weeks)
  • Dermatology (4 weeks)

  • Laboratory Medicine (4 weeks)
  • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (4 weeks)
