Making research findings public — through poster sessions, national meetings, or journal publications — is vital to building knowledge in any field.
As contributors to medical research, students participating in programs through the Office of Medical Student Research and Scholarship are required to present their findings as follows:
Summer Research Programs (SRP)
- Poster Day: Research Training Symposium and Poster Sessions
- Manuscript (3 – 5 page research paper)
Year-Long Research Programs (YRP)
- Requirements vary by program
Fourth-Year Elective
- Requirements vary by program
Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)
- Visit the MSTP website for more information
National meetings
Presenting your research at a national meeting is an incredible opportunity to discuss your findings and network with others.
