A number of student groups, regular activities and publications help students pursue meaningful, fun activities outside of academic life. Medical care from Student Health Services, an on-site student gym, other nearby recreational facilities and activities support students’ physical well-being. Medical care and psychological services are available through Student Health Services, along with ongoing discussion/dialogue, meditation and stress management sessions and other special events. An onsite interfaith chapel and student organizations are among the elements of spiritual life during medical school. The Office of Student Financial Planning helps with all aspects of your medical school finances. Robust mentoring, advising and learning support services, as well as creative activities and knowledge- and skill-sharing opportunities are available throughout medical school. Advising and coaching programs along with research and clinical shadowing opportunities foster a healthier work-life balance and promote professional fulfillment. The School of Medicine encourages students to prioritize their relationship with the environment through sustainable transportation benefits, green event resources and more.
