Educational technology in the MD Program is supported by the Educational Technology and Innovation Unit (ETIU) alongside key partners in Washington University Information Technology (WashU IT). Supported teaching and learning tools, systems, and processes include the Keystone teaching and learning platform as well as the Student Laptop Guidelines below.

ETIU recommends the following hardware and software to successfully use teaching and learning systems within the MD Program.

WashU Campus Store Laptop Options
The Danforth Bookstore Technology Center, managed by Follett Higher Education Group, serves students, faculty, and staff on the Danforth Campus and Medical campuses. Review information below on deals and tax holidays. Then, click the Shop button to browse configured laptops which meet, or exceed, current student laptop recommendations.
Pickup on Campus Option: If desired, Follett can hold your laptop order for pickup at either the Medical or Danforth Campus bookstores. Select your preferred pickup location with your order.
Dell Laptop Options: All systems include 3-year Dell Premium warranty with Accidental Damage Protection. As needed, Dell laptop repair diagnostics and on-site service are scheduled via the Dell Premium warranty service.
Apple Laptop Purchase Options: All systems include 3-year AppleCare+ warranty and up to 2 accidental damage repairs for a service fee. As needed, MacBook repair diagnostics and service are offered at Danforth Campus Store Tech Center or any Apple Store or authorized service provider.

Keystone
Find your courses and resources in Keystone, a competency-based teaching and learning platform. Keystone houses course materials and communications, such as event pages, instructional videos, assignments, and exams as well as orientation materials, IT help, and resources.
MD Program Canvas — Pre-2020 Enrollment
If you started prior to 2020, MD Program Canvas houses most of your course materials and communications, such as session pages, lectures, assignments, and exams as well as orientation materials, IT help, and resources.
