Interventional Radiology Interest Group (IRIG)

The goal of the Interventional Radiology Interest Group is to expand student exposure and interest in Interventional Radiology as a potential career path. Students would have the opportunity to interact with IR Residents, Fellows, and Attendings via shadowing and organized events to learn what specializing in IR would entail. Further, there is opportunity to offer multiple workshops like ultrasound, biopsy, and cath-procedure simulation events. Further down the line, there is potential to work with industry partners to host events related to Interventional Oncology, Cryoablation, and usage of emerging technologies like Virtual Reality Simulation.
