Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group
Lifestyle medicine is an evidence-based medical specialty that uses therapeutic lifestyle changes to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases. The Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group seeks to share the six pillars of lifestyle medicine with the WashU and St. Louis community; these six pillars are nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, community, and substance avoidance. We will host events pertaining to these six pillars in the hopes of increasing student and community knowledge of holistic health practices and wellness, as well as encouraging engagement with lifestyle medicine amongst the student body.
