MedSpan (Medical Spanish) encourages communication with Spanish- speaking patients. Students meet informally to learn Spanish medical terminology, then apply what they learn by volunteering in the Hispanic community. Community service includes an annual Hispanic Health Fair, screening programs and services for uninsured Hispanics in St. Louis.
