Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN)

The Student Interest Group in Neurology organizes and sponsors a wide range of activities for students interested in learning more about careers in neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry. Activities are guided by students interests and organized by student coordinators with faculty support. Activities include a neurosurgery workshop, a neuroradiology workshop, dinner discussions with neurology and neurosugery faculty and residents, psychiatry dinners with special topic discussions, and volunteer events. The chapter organizes shadowing experiences with neurology faculty as well. SIGN is sponsored by the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery as well as the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). In conjunction with the AAN, we offer free membership and opportunities to win scholarships to the annual AAN meeting and for summer research.
