FOCUS Gateway City offers recurring volunteer opportunities serving individuals and families on the near south side of downtown St. Louis. Volunteers can assist with preparing and serving meals, working in the pantry and clothing closet, greeting and interacting with guests, cleaning and stocking shelves, and helping connect guests with additional community resources.

Volunteer opportunities are available on a recurring basis:

• Wednesdays, 8:30–11:00 a.m. – Breakfast service; guests are present and volunteers may assist in the kitchen, pantry and clothing closet, greet guests, clean and stock shelves, visit with guests, or help connect guests with community resources.
• Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. – Volunteer workday; no guests are present. Volunteers assist with unloading and stocking canned goods.
• Sundays, 2nd–21st of each month, 3:30–6:00 p.m. – Limited availability; volunteers assist with unloading and stocking canned goods and preparing food. Contact the director to confirm openings.
• 4th Tuesday of each month, 6:00–7:30 p.m. – Volunteer-only opportunity assisting with unloading and stocking canned goods and preparing food.

Volunteers must be 18 or older to volunteer without a parent/guardian and must complete a short orientation before their first volunteer experience.
