The Rural Parish Clinic provides free primary medical and dental care to uninsured, income qualifying patients in rural communities across several Missouri counties. Care is delivered through fully equipped mobile medical and dental clinics that travel to host sites each month. Our goal is to make sure individuals and families who might otherwise go without care have access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare close to home. The clinic relies entirely on the time, skill, and generosity of volunteer healthcare professionals. Every volunteer helps expand access to medical and dental services for people in need.
We provide training and orientation for all volunteer roles, so you’ll feel prepared and supported as you begin. Opportunities include:
- Nurses – Assist with patient care, including intake, screenings, patient education, and ongoing support.
- Patient Advocates – Welcome patients, listen to their needs, and connect them with community resources and specialty care.
- Dental Assistants – Work alongside dentists to support patient care, equipment preparation, and ensuring patients feel comfortable.
- Medical students are welcome to assist in all three areas, gaining valuable hands-on experience while supporting care for patients.
Why Volunteer? By giving your time, you become part of a team that:
- Expands access to essential medical and dental care in rural communities.
- Provides dignity, comfort, and healing to neighbors who are struggling.
- Makes a lasting difference for individuals and families who need care the most.
