Volunteer opportunities include contributing to a wide range of tasks that support children, teens, and families across multiple program areas. Tasks include assisting children and teens in classrooms and residential facilities, providing support at the Emergency Shelter by helping in the office or kitchen, or spending quality time with youth. Volunteers may also help maintain landscaping and grounds across six county locations, assist with organizing community donations, and provide general office support such as answering phones and filing during weekday hours. Classroom Assistants enhance learning experiences for children ages birth to five in Early Learning Programs, with flexible shifts available. Volunteers can also support event outreach by being a presence at community fairs and helping run donation drives for essential items like coats or toothbrushes. Individuals with professional knowledge in areas such as therapy, mental health, health education, or financial literacy may provide workshops or training sessions. Additionally, short-term volunteers can assist with one-day events and fundraisers.
