When will the 2024 electives catalog be posted in VSLO? January 2, 2024
When will applications for 2024 open in VSLO? February 12, 2024
The VSLO application portal will be opened at approximately 10:00am Central Standard Time on February 12, 2024. Note that the portal must be opened manually, so 10:00am CST is only an estimation.
What about 2025? Catalogs for 2025 will be posted in January 2025.
Elective availability changes rapidly once applications open. The Electives Office strives to update the VSLO catalog as quickly as possible, but please be aware that listed availability will not always be accurate, especially in the first few months after applications open.
Rotation Dates
WUSM operates on a calendar year cycle for visiting medical students, with 4-week rotations available between late April and mid-December each year.
No visiting medical students are accepted from January through late April.

- July 8 – August 4, 2024
- August 5 – September 1, 2024
- September 3 – September 29, 2024
- September 30 – October 27, 2024
- October 28 – November 24, 2024
- November 25 – December 22, 2024
Rotation dates for 2025 will be posted in January 2025.
No off-block rotations are permitted (dates may not be lengthened, shortened, or shifted).
