Project Considerations
If you’re interested in medical scholarship but don’t know where to begin, you can get some ideas by checking these tools and sites:
- Browse past student projects on the EXPLORE Symposium page to see project titles.
- Explore potential faculty mentors and areas of study through the University’s Research Profiles.
- Learn about the Division of Biology and Biological Sciences (DBBS), where the division’s doctoral programs are described, and search DBBS’s list of division faculty.
- Seek out academic departments that interest you to peruse their current work and faculty. Direct links to their departmental research pages are included below.
- Browse the University’s faculty profiles and interactive map to find potential mentors with collaborations in areas of the world that interest you.
- Learn about one of our many Research Centers and Institutes or our Research Units.
- Go to the source! See what WUSM faculty are publishing.
And remember: Thousands of faculty members are available to mentor you, but not all are included on these websites and lists. Your pathway lead can point out PIs and projects that you may not otherwise find, so if you haven’t already, contact us to schedule a meeting!
